Installation of brakes from TL (brembo)

I want to install a set of Acura TL type-with what was then a good experience for you? Or maybe tell me more options? From what model brakes fit without complicated alterations?

If you already had a theme please show where to read...

Thanks!!!

P.S. I am writing from Russia, using a translator, I beg pardon for my English

That is an option I have looked at as well. These calipers should fit as direct bolt on or making a custom base at the most, you should go for it!

The stock brakes on the RDX fatigue pretti quickly, so any uprgades on this field will be noted.

Take care,

I'd also be interested in knowing the details of this upgrade... Any custom brackets required?

I've been going back and forth with a vendor on here who is looking at using the advic calipers from an Acura rl rather than brembos because they are radially mounted, cheaper and more durable. They are still working on a bracket but it is looking pretty promising

Keep me posted, would it require different rotors too?

I got a set of Acura RL calipers to mount on my RDX. We tried to fit them last weekend but it is not a direct fit, the screws are horizontal in one, and vertical in the other. you also need a bracket because the rotors are too small and the caliper hits the spindle...

I went to the dealer to check on the RL rotors which are 24mm larger in diameter than the RDX ones, but found that the bolt pattern is also different, which means additional hassle.

I did some research and found nothing on the RDX, but... saw a couple of guys that made the swap on their TL and TSX vehicles. These cars seem to me to have the same rotors and calipers than the RDX, if this is correct then the brackets used by them should also work on the RDX, you get the 320mm rotors and should be able to install them.

I need to find the 320mm rotors with the right bolt pattern, it seems the 350z one would fit. I'm currentyl checking if someone makes the brackets (they look like the ones on the 400mm monster brakes kit post) before I try to have them custom made, hopefully I can find them.

will keep you posted....

...Rear pads fit: 96-07 CL/RDX/RL/TL/LEGEND/CR-V/ELEMENT/ODYSSEY

just some background info that may help out after my trip to buy pads today...

an update on my "big brake" install:

I could not find anything that was a direct fit on the RDX and was 320mm... the nissan 350Z did not fit they were 300mm only, tried the 320mm from the maxima that have the same bolt pattern but did not fit in the middle (too small).

finally went to a rotor factory and had a set custom made at 320mm with the bolt pattern from the RDX and already drilled... got them last saturday.

the next step is to try them out in the vehicle to design the adapters to mount them. I did some research but could not find somebody that would sell them, I asked heeltoe and they told me the TL ones they sell would not fit the RDX, so I'll have to make my own.

I fitted just the calipers on them and fit just fine. see attached pictures.

I'm gonna be out this weekend, so it will be in 2 weeks when I'm able to try them out in the vehicle, but will keep you posted on the results...
