Am I the only one???????????????????????
Am I the only one???????????????????????
So I just got back from the dealership to have my 09 RDX inspected for a rattle/loose sound on the front end of the RDX. The technician rode with me so I could explain the noise I am hearing. Soon as I went over a rumble tarmac and the lane reflectors, he knew exactly what it was. He told me to put a little pressure on the brakes while driving over the lane reflectors; and the noise went away. I guess there is a known problem here in Hawaii for the brake pad floating in the caliper. He said no other dealerships filed work done on this, so Honda Acura is thinking it’s only this dealership. However, he did temp repair it by taking off the caliper and inspecting along with adding grease to the caliper pins. It helped, but the noise is still there. If anyone is having this problem, please report it so we can get a TSB out to have Acura redesign a caliper and pads to fit correctly.
