Microfiber is your friend!! I use Mequiar's NXT wax applied with an orbital buffer and a microfiber cloth. I then use a microfiber towel to wipe the wax off. The microfiber, unlike a cotton terry cloth, does not leave any swirl marks in the paint's finish and the NXT wax leaves the finish looking better than new. Also lasts longer than any other wax I've used before. Not saying this is the best method out there, but certainly works for me.

I am sure everyone has their favorite and I think there are plenty of good products. That said I can only tell you my preference. I use Zaino and every so often do the whole step process they have..then just do the small steps in between.

Invest in a clay bar and lubricant. It's important to remove any surface debris before waxing, even microscopic, as it will be a permanent part of your paint job after you wax if you don't.
