I recently replaced the rear shocks on my 2007 RDX.
One of them - on the drivers side - seems to have a little movement in it resulting in a rattling noise. I went under the car and noticed a bushing (?) was missing - hopefully the attached photo will show it.
How important is this bushing? I know it has to be replaced but should I not drive he car until I do? Also - would that contribute to the rattling noise I hear? )(Sorry - this is my first post so it is a little confusing)

Hi Ted, welcome to the forum!
assuming you are referring to the largest empty hole in the picture, some few early model cars had it filled, the rest did not. It seems to be a dampening measure probably deemed unnecessary at production time, with no apparent functional impact. There was a new car video with details about the undercarriage that shows it empty as well.
Re: rattling, maybe a visit to a mechanic would identify the source quicker on your car, does not SOUND normal though.
