Optimistic Avg. Fuel Reading

Hi, I think this may have been brought up before but I can't find the post.
My 2008 RDX always shows a higher Fuel economy average on the digital display then what I am truly getting. It seems to be 2-3 MPG optomistic.

I have the computer setup to reset at each fillup. And I have tried disabling it and resetting myself after each fill it still is off by about 2-3 MPG.
Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Not sure how the computer calculates the average mpg, but mine is off by about 0.5 to 1.5 mpg.

I always compare the figures at each fill up and the MMI displays higher figures than the actual.

I have not thought to check actual figures compared to the computer.

The computer MPG calculation on my RDX is usually optimistic as well, but it can vary from .5 MPG to 3 MPG. It's very inconsistent. It did once under calculate the MPG by several MPG! That's rare though.
