what milage do you normally do the differential change?
I have 16700miles, never changed the diff fluid and it gives me maintenance code A, not Ax or something, just A. I checked the owner manual and I should only change the engine oil.. should I also change the diff fluid now?
I'm asking because I cannot visit any Acura dealer (Europe here )

LoDRpR: Quite unusual for the Maintenance Minder to give only a letter code and not a number code. As you can see in the threads above, the first '6' (Change Differential Fluid) reminder is around 15k miles for most (including me). My second '6' just came on (as part of a 'B16' reminder) and my car is approaching 52k. So after the first 15k it took another 37k of driving to trigger the second '6'.

Madison3: thx for the reply, I hope I'll get numbers also together with the letters. Anyway, I have changed the dif fluid at under 17k, hope is OK . I'm not driving in a moutain area, so this shouldn't be a problem I guess.

I just did the rear diff fluid @29k and it's pretty easy. I use a 3/8" torque wrench, set to 35lb of torque and with a push the bolts came loose. I don't see why you need new washers, both mine are still look new. I order my 4qts atf z 1 online (30$ s/h included) and the seller give me one free washer (Drain washer).
I can try to post a DIY next time. I couldn't find my camera this time.
I highly recommend anyone to DIY on this service, you'll save a lot of $$, especially during time like this.

Just changed mine on the '08 @ 48k. I let the dealer do the first one. IMO, they put too much fluid in. I pulled the fill plug and it leaked all over. I wasn't prepared for a 1/2 quart to land on the garage floor.
Anyhow, I was prepared for the plugs to be tough and they were. I eventually muscled them loose with a large TQ wrench. The problem is if the car isn't jacked up, you can't hardly get any leverage. 35ft/lbs never felt so tough.
Lastly, I did this last minute and figured I'd call the local Honda dealer. The washers and fluid are shared with Honda. I saved myself a 1 hour round trip.
Thanks to everyone before me for posting info. It all helped.

TL-SHAWD 6MT Rocks!
got B16 code on a 2010 TL SH-AWD 6-sp (9k miles)
I called 2 dealers:
one wants to replace the eng oil + diff oil + rotation ... $280 (ouch)
the other wants only to rotate and change engine oil ... $140
I wish there was a standard between dealers,
They don't even agree on how much to rip you off!
