Bumper Applique installation?

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone had done their own rear bumper applique installation?

If so, how hard and any tips?

Thanks,

-john

I don't have any tips for you as I have not done this installation but just in case you haven't seen this, here is a link that has a PDF document with detailed instructions on how to install the applique:
https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-rdx-diy-faq-161/rdx-accessory-installs-681590/

I took a quick read through it and it looks fairly straight forward.

Hope this helps.

Make sure you wet the bumper before application. Whether with just water or windex or something. This way, you are able to pull it up and reapply if you need to. It will, however, need to be squeeged out, but it helps with the air bubbles.

I installed mine, fairly simplistic... The key is the solution which is a mixture of dish soap and rubbing alcohol. Keep it wet and work out the air bubbles with the supplied tool. I used my fingers towards the end to work out the smaller air bubbles. Follow the instructions, 20 minutes you're done.

Like jsharp said, the key is the solution. But I used a few drops of dish soap, half of rubbing alcohol and half of water. Another thing I suggest is to make sure the bumper is VERY clean. After peeling the paper off the applique and your bumper is not clean enough, a dot of dirt, can screw up the installation. Meaning that you will get a bubble that you wont be able to get rid of.

You don't need the solution? Acura has new directions, you can now install the decal dry. Just clean the bumper first with soap then alcohol. It was not that hard took about 15 mins tops.
