I cannot believe 2010 Acura RDX does not have Blind spot warning, Everybody else in the same class, like audi q5- infiniti q 35, bmw-x3 do.

Haha, thas the only way I merge into lanes, especially at high speeds on the highway. Mirrors can't account for what the human eye actually sees.

Yeah I'm 50/50 on whether this is a good idea. I mean I understand the safety around it. But just like everything else humans will get use to just checking the light and not actually turning their head around to see if a car is near them and then just merge into the other lane. Just because the light isn't on doesn't mean that you won't cut someone off if you merge into another lane.

All of these added features are nice but at the end of the day it's the actual driver who will make a difference. I wouldn't pay extra for this feature. My dad's Jaguar XF has it along with the timed distance cruise control which is great but again something I'm afraid people will just become lazy about.

How does a "blind spot warning" work anyways?

Meh. It's useless if you drive properly.

...no one can creep into your blindspot if you're going faster than everybody...

HA HA< I catch myself merging without checking for that exact reason - not thinking anyone can creep up on me at the speeds I'm going... Not a good habit either... but fun in my "SUV ND9L (in-denial)!"
