Aside from Mobil 1 and Pennzoil, can we use Castrol on our First Gen RDX?
Just wondering if there's been new updates on oil selection other than Mobil 1 and Pennzoil as these are the ones I know that meet or exceed Acura HTO-06. I managed to find Castrol on sale here in Costco (I'm here in Canada) but not the other 2 brands (Costco Canada doesn't carry them). I tried the Castrol website and they recommended the ones that were on sale at Costco for $30/jug (Vs $58 per jug of Mobil 1). and this is what I got (see below) -- would you just switch to Castrol or stick with Mobil 1? Thanks

I haven't heard anything good from Castrol from people that used it, also as long as it's HTO-06 approved I don't see why not. Also what I've heard is probably just their retardness and needed something to blame, I'm sticking with Mobil 1 because it is cheap for me. $35 for Mobil 1 5qt jug and Mobil 1 oil filter.

If is synthetic, i use.
The brands I use the most are Castrol and Mobil1, the problems on the RDX aren't oil related as far as i know.
Mine as now passed the 280000km mark.

Noticed recently that PENNZOIL PLATINUM 0w20 has now the same HTO-06, bottle may or may not show it.
