I have a 2010 Acura RDX w/ Tech Package.
On the the passenger side, front seat, there is a panel at the left side. It looks like a cut out or blank panel.

I would like to replace this panel with the MDX pocket assembly
seen in the picture here (http://www.motorauthority.com/content/thumbs/2/0/2010_acura_mdx_official_004-0728-950x650.jpg)

I found the parts:

The navigation dvd unit is in that location. I don't think you will be to do what you describe

The panels on the MDX are not the same shape as the RDX so I think that you'll have a hard time making it work!

 

You are correct. I looked at it in the sunlight and it would be a bad move on my part to try and fix it.
