RDX & The Drive-In Movie
For those of you lucky enough to still enjoy that bit of Americana called the drive-in movie, here's some good news: I'm here to tell you that you can watch at least ONE (and probably more) flick in stereo via your RDX.
My local drive-ins (three locations, seven screens, I'm REAL lucky) all let you tune in an open radio frequency...but I was worried that Nav would suck my battery dry. I had my key turned to the first stop which doesn't activate the Nav. My RDX started just fine after the show.
My lady friend and I take a couple of camping air mats with us, a blanket, and a giant bowl of popcorn and beverages...so we're pretty comfortable in the hatch area. (RDX = Modern-Day Station Wagon. Dig it.) For you lawn-chair fans, the only drawback is if you want the doors open to flow the sound better, they have to be the rears only...opening the fronts will get you the courtesy door lamps...and it seems they don't automatically shut off.
I'd been wondering about this all summer but finally lived on the edge Saturday night. See you at the drive-in!

For anyone who wants to see if they have a local drive-in, you can check here; not sure how often it's updated, but it's interesting:
