Proper way to label an MP3 CD?

ok.. so i've created an MP3 data cd via NERO.. labelled it RDX MP3 Vol1 BUT on the RDX navi screen, it doesn't show that title.. instead, it labels the cd as the 1st song in the 1st folder.

am i missing a step or do i have to label it differently?

Just create an empty file in the root directory of the disk, and put all your other mp3 files in folders under the root directory arranged however you want them. Name the empty file whatever you want the disk name to be, with the .mp3 extension. Then the disk will show up as that name in the disk list...

Weird, NERO Express "CD" should create a label near the end before burning CD. Also you need to be sure your "MP3's" have ID tags assigned properly.

So maybe things have changed with the '08 RDX. Mine ignores all actual MP3 data CD labels and MP3 ID tags. If I want the disk to show up as a name in the list of 6 disks, I need to do as described above. As far as file info, all I see is filenames when I start drilling down...

All of my MP3s are tagged, and tagged well - but the RDX system just won't read them. It just shows filenames without the extension - and there's even a bug where it shows the extension if the filename hits a certain length. How are you getting yours to read the tags? Do you have a modded firmware DVD?
