New RDX owner, need help setting up

Hey guys. I purchased a used 07 RDX with Tech Package. I am having problems connecting my Blackberry to the car.
When I hit the button for the hands free link everything is in French and then says "to change to English say english"
Because I am the second owner I don't think it recognizes my voice. Is there a way to reset this so that everything is in English?
As well I ordered a new owners manual because everything I got was in French and they still haven't sent me an English one so I am still waiting.
Also well when I go on my Blackberry and try to add device using Bluetooth nothing shows up.
I would really like some advice/help for getting started.

or can someone tell me how to get it back to the factory setting? Like if I disconnect the battery will it go back to an English setting as if it were a brand new car?

You need to say "english" with a french accent. Just like Sacha B Cohen in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby when he played Jean Girard the french driver.

As far as I know, it's not a learning system. My 07 works equally well with me or my wife speaking the commands, and she NEVER drives my car. I've seen no change/improvement in the 5 years that I've owned it. I'd pull the plug and start over if yours is ignoring you.

Thanks catnippants. Do you mean just to disconnect the battery and that will be a new start or is there a different way to start over? All I can think of is disconnecting the battery but I don't know if that will do the trick
