New NAV DVD

The DVD in my car is from 2005.
It doesn't have my street address on it : (

Is the 2009/2010 DVD just upgraded maps or does it change/tweak other stuff?

Mostly just new POI's and street data. It will also fix the DLST adjustment. They dropped the male voice, too. There may have been a few more obscure bug fixes.

Are you talking about an RDX bought in 2006 with a 2006 DVD (containing 2005 data), or are you talking about another vehicle with a 2005 DVD? Brizey's response is correct assuming your car uses the same system/DVD as our RDX's (white label).

I just got the new update too and was wondering what happened to the male voice. The backup camera seems to be clearer and the maps brighter. But maybe that's just us. Is that what u meant brizey by DLST? Oddly the 1st poi I looked for wasn't in there, but I hope it works better. Mine is an '07 bought in '06.

By DLST - Brizey means daylight savings time. It accounts for the schedule change. There was an adjustment to the backup camera software as well, but that was made a few updates back. I too noticed a considerable difference in image quality and saturation after the update. My understanding is that they removed the male voice for DVD space reasons. Who wants their car talking to them in a male voice anyway?

the NAV version says 2005 in my 2007 RDX so I am assuming it's the oldest version.

I was expecting better looking Maps, more points of interests, maybe traffic? weather?.
It says no traffic within 30 miles of where i live.. I live in the Washington D.C area and it has no traffic? Weak....

You're not going to get better graphics or the addition of real-time weather with a simple DVD update. More POIs and more accurate maps, yes.

BTW, I bought my RDX in the DC area (a 2008, with whatever nav DVD was available in Sep '07) and it offered real-time traffic on all the interstates around the area. What you may be seeing is no traffic INCIDENTS within 30 miles, although having lived and driven in the DC area for five years I find that hard to believe!
