navigation upgrade

does anyone have any information with regards to the possibility of upgrading a non-tech RDX to have the oem navigation unit ..... I have searched with little to no results.

i believe that I have all the pieces with exception to the acuralink module.

I am going to attempt the installation tomorrow and I will be providing pictures as well!!!

Hope this all goes well!

Any luck. I was told that adding a OEM unit would be more costly that an aftermarket unit. I too bought a base RDX thinking I didn't need NAVI and now I regret it. I would like to know how you have progressed.

I got an 09 non-tech and are also interested in upgrading to either OEM Navi or aftermarket double din unit. Anyone done that and would like to share?

I almost jumped in (found someone on ebay). If you actually purchase the parts at a dealer it can get quite expensive. I think most things work, but you may have to splice some wires. You would think this would be an easy/affordable upgrade right???

OK so i did accomplish this for the most part last year........ bottom line i think it could work but I was missing one or 2 part ... mainly the gps/XM module ... I have 2 complete kits and all the wires .... i got it to the point where most things worked but the volume was always VERY loud. my conclusion was that the "best way to accomplish the retrofit was to swap out the engine harness! which after taking the whole dash apart 3 times I had lost my motivation ... if someone want's to pick up where i left off, I'll sell you all I have for next to nothing since I'll be trading in the RDX in a few weeks anyways. just PM me!
