navigation upgrade

I was wondering about any potential issues I might encounter upgrading a 2002 rdx navsystem dvd-rom harddrive with the newer 2005 version? The back of the units look like they match for the most part, but the 2005 dvd-rom has a couple of additionalinputs that my original rdx doesn't have wires for. Has anyone ever tried this before?
Thanks

Wow....you probably have many of us confused. Since the first model year of the RDX was 2007, I'm not sure where you'd get a 2002 RDX nav drive....or why you'd want to 'upgrade' to a 2005 version.

On that side note... does anybody in Vancouver Canada have a DVD navigation CD I can copy? Purchased my car from the states and would be more convenient if I had a Canadian Version.

First of all there are European maps available also. Then v4.63 does not only means maps but many other as I could understand. And finally it's just seems to be interesting.

PS: I'd better use RDX display as just a display and connect garmin or iGo touchscreen navigation instead of the stock one.

I strongly doubt your European discs from other honda's will work with the rdx.

Acuras, Hondas... What's the difference? They all use Alpine Navi and it sucks BTW.
