Nav and dots on the screen

Ok, what's up with the dots on the nav screen?

I thought it was just my 2010 RDX, but my friend mentioned it tonight that he has the same dots on his 2009 TL.

It's not locations that we previously did on the GPS and it's not everywhere on the screen.

If needed I can take a picture tomorrow and show it here.

See if this solves your problem. Go to Setup and turn off Off-road Tracking. I had the same issue where my work place parking lot was littered with dots.

They are called "bread crumbs" and they are there in case you go out of area or camping and want to find your way back to the main route.

Didn't see anything in set up for off road tracking.

Here are 2 pics with the dots. One is strictly a residential community and the other where there are some stores.
While I didn't take other pictures, dots were noticed by a school and another by a municipal complex.
