Nav Disc update discount

The latest Acura email newsletter I just received mentions a discount for the latest update for the Nav unit. I click on the link and I can't find anything about the discount. I'm guessing that they haven't posted the discount yet and sent the newsletter out with this info early. Maybe it is going to be a february discount. The newsletter says:

The new 2007 Fall navigation update discs are being offered at a special discounted price through 2/29/08.
For detailed information, go to www.acuranavi.com

Ooh. That would be cool. I had pretty much decided to wait until the 2008 fall DVD because of the apparent issues with the 2007 version. If they offer it at a reasonable price (like half or less), I may take the plunge.

If $185 is the discount price, what is the regular price? Doesn't sound like much of a discount.

185 was the regular price I believe. Prices still not in effect.

Yeah - this has nothing to do with Sasair's post. This is the normal way of ordering, and $185 is the standard price. We're waiting to see what the discount may be or when they will open it up per the newsletter.

It looks like the discount only applies to the 2007/2008 update for the *orange* disc. If you order a 2004 DVD for the TL or RL, the $149 price comes up.

Ya know, maybe I'm a geek, but I am always amazed at how openly you folks talk about illegal activities. You do know what you're discussing is piracy, right?

i orginally updated my rdx with my moms tl disk. luckily the disk has both files for touch screen and jog wheel gps's. which leads me to believe if you get a touch screen for your rdx (idk if anyone makes one yet) you might have an option to make your gps touch and not jog wheel. or even better both!

What type of DVD did you guys use for the copy? Does it need to be a Dual-Layer disc, DVD+R, or DVD-R? Thanks.

Hehe....now read the rest of the thread.

That is the way to order a new nav disk. However, right now they are having problems with the 4.62 version, so it is only available to dealers.

I saw that there is a 4.70 version, is that for the rdx or is the current one for the RDX 4.62? Not sure if it's within the same series.
