Help with RDX HFL Replacement Module
I posted this originally in the wrong place, so here it is again... I am hoping someone will chime in and help me.
According to my dealer, I need to replace my 2007 RDX Tech HFL (Hands Free Link) Module due to it draining the battery.
Since I am in Canada, the dealer told me that the part I need to purchase is the HFL Module part# 39770-STK-C01. The Dealer wants to charge me $550.00 for a new one. I found this from a US Acura dealer but it is Part#39770-STK-A01 for a lot cheaper.
Question is... Can I purchase the US HFL Module and use it in my Canadian RDX? Is there any differences between the US and CAN HFL modules? It looks to be the same item...
Anyone???

I am assuming 'C01' is for Canada and 'A01' is for Americas, but I would like to know if the US part will work in a Canadian car. Has anyone tried this?

After some digging around, I finally found the HFL Module in a 2007 RDX Tech. It is on the passenger side of the center console. You will need to remove the DVD cover and carefully pull back the carpeting/plastic on the console (it is held by clips).
Attachment 112872
Now if only someone can let me know if the US HFL will work on our Canadian RDX's... I might just bite the bullet and get one to test out, but if someone has already done this, please let me know.
Thanks all...

Well its been a while since my last post on this subject so I can only assume that no one has any experience with this. In that case, I will go ahead and purchase the US HFL module and see what happens on my CDN RDX.
Will keep this updated on any further developments.

Update... I have confirmed that it works! The US Acura/Honda part works in the Canadian RDX Tech. Those of you who need to replace the HFL module, go get the US part. I bought mine from Carland Acura in Georgia for $185 delivered to a US address. Much better than spending $700+ from Acura Canada.

HFL location - 2011 RDX (no tech pkg)
My 2011 RDX doesn't have that panel on the passenger side of the center console near the floor, maybe because there is no DVD player required for the nav. Any idea where the HFL/bluetooth module would be? I already looked up top behind the dome light with no luck. My battery is being drained repeatedly...
Thanks in advance!

I found it. It's located in the same place as those vehicles with the nav. There is a cut out for the DVD door which isn't cut out but you can pop off the whole panel. Unplugging the bluetooth is tricky because it's hard to reach but there are no clips holding the connector in place - just pry it out.
Hopefully the battery will stay alive now - we'll see...
