Front Speakers "Blown"?

It started with the front passenger speaker (in the lower door panel) and has now crept to the driver's side. The sound is hard to explain, but anytime the song has a strong bass-line, the speakers sound horrible, like rustling paper... 07 Tech... Anyone experience this? I will have the looked at or replaced with my next dealer service.

I had the same issue with my front passenger speaker. The one in the door as well. I took it in, and the tech determined that it was in fact blown. Your description is dead on with rustling paper. Its covered though. My dealer just didn't have the speaker, so I had to deal with it for a week and a half.

Nice to know they didn't give you trouble replacing the speaker(s) under warranty... Hopefully it goes just as well with my dealer.

Aye, same problem here with my driver's side front and probably passenger side, too. Haven't really taken the time to listen to that side. I'm not overly impressed with the volume capability on the ELS, I'll say that. I like to jam out LOUD!

When I saw what the speakers were made of, I would not doubt they would have a lot of problems with them. I am so glad I am not running the stock speakers anymore. I love the sound in my RDX now.
