I was so impressed with the 5.1 stereo sound that I decided to start picking up DVD Audio discs.(I'm sure like many of you folks) Dire Straits' 20th anniversary edition comes with a "Dual Disc" that includes a 5.1 mix and it sounds INCREDIBLE!! However the stereo in my 2008 RDX will only play the first 4 songs before I get a "check disc" error and it spits out the DVD. I've checked and this DVD Audio disc will play on both my computer and my home theater just fine so I'm wondering bout different flavors of DVD Audio?? Or limitations of this model stereo.

All of the other DVD Audio discs I've bought work fine. Does anyone know who the manufacturer of this 5.1 stereo is, I could check with them? Or has anyone else run into similar issues with this stereo??

 

Photo Dan - The stereo is made by Panasonic. They create the ELS Surround so I'm assuming that they have everything to do with the entire stereo in the car.

 

Brothers in Arms play fine in my RDX, however it is a "DualDisc", maybe the one you have is a bit out of tolerance, thickness wise.
