Cold Weather and Illegible Nav

This item I think has been mentioned before, but I was curious if anyone has been able to get Acura to replace their nav as a result of it. In my 2007 Tech, the navi screen is extremely difficult to see on cold days. I live in NC and garage my RDX, so normally I don't see the problem, but being in NY this week, it's incredible. Does anyone have a very difficult time 1) seeing the nav on cold days? 2) Does anyone have issues with the nav's response time on cold days?

Edit: I just wanted to add that I know about the TSB on the color etc. (still need to get that done), but I doubt this fixes the issue. I understand LCD's warming up as well, but this seems like a major design flaw -- and probably goes back to a poor job of insulating the cabin (from noise and weather I suppose).

Thanks!

You cant really get any colder than where I live, so I am well aware of this Navi-display problem!!! When its cold in the cabin, the display is very faint. My display improves slowly as the cabin warms up, but this does take some time on extremely cold days (note I am refering to a "Canadian cold day" aka temperatue less than 20F ALL day!!). Still it does improve.

Another issue I have on cold days is "static" from the CD player when the car is initially turned on. This readily goes away in a few minutes...leaving that sweet sounding ELS sound that we all know and love!

I live in Minnesota and I have not seen this issue yet. It was pretty cold a few weeks ago and I did not see anything like that. I will keep my eyes open.

LOL, same here! My car is usually in the garage in the overnight but if its a cold day outside while I'm working (which it usually is ) I experience both problems. The colder it is the longer I experience 'static' from the radio. Kinda annoying, but both go away as the interior warms up.
