CANADA 2008 Base, HFL Blackberry question
So my 2008 RDX Base arrives tomorrow morning, and here's my question:
Anyone in Canada using the Blackberry Curve 8310 (w/GPS). Just wondering if the Hands Free Link works well with this model of Blackberry? One specific question is: when initiating the call from the Blackberry, do you have to wait until the person answers, or can you transfer while it's ringing?
Also, does the incoming call display work?
Thanks!

Haven't tried pre-answer transfer as the phone automatically pairs with the HFL as soon as you turn on the car.
Incoming Call Display works, as well as signaling strength and battery.

The question applies actually to the fact that even if the phone is paired, when dialing from your address book in the phone, some phones will not engage with the HFL until the person on the other end answers. Then you hit the button, say transfer, and you're good. It seems though that some phones will allow you to transfer while it's ringing, even if you initiate the call from the phone.
Hope that makes sense!

UPDATE...
With this phone (Blackberry 8310 GPS) on the Rogers network in Canada, it seems to work about the same as the rest. Battery and Signal Strength, incoming # are displayed. There is still the frustrating issue of having to wait for the person to pick up to transfer to the HFL if the call is initiated from the phone.

The BB Pearl works in terms of transferring the call before the other end picks up.
What I did was call a number from the address book in the phone.. then when I heard ringing.. I hit the Talk button on the car, and say "Transfer"... the ringing sound is now coming out of the speakers in the car.

incoming calls PERFECT
Calling from the HFL - Perfect
calling from the handset -> a BITCH
When i call out, i have to hit <activate handset> to hair the phone ringing
then when the person answers, i have to tell the HFL <transfer>
don't know if it's just me.. but maybe i'm doing it wrong
