Apple TV in your RDX
Apple TV in your RDX
I have an idea to put an Apple TV in my RDX and somehow get the screen to display the info. This would be perfect because you could sync ALL of your music it has a 40GB hard drive. Also movies and photos. Pull in your garage and your wireless network if it reaches would sync it all up.

Plenty of pics of Apple TV on the Apple website.
A few hurdles of doing this would be the fac that AppleTV is only designed to connect to HDMI or component video. No composite video outputs. So you'd need somekind of converter.
Also the AppleTV takes 120V AC directly in as opposed to using a power supply. so you'd need an inverter or you'd have to hack up box to get to the internal power supply.
I haven't played with my AppleTV enough to address any other issues. It is a pretty cool toy. I just wish it had a bigger hard drive. I have alot more than 40GB of content on my mac with music, TV shows, movies, and pics. I hear it is pretty easy to install a bigger hard drive though.
I have noticed that the AppleTV box itself gets pretty hot when in use.
