Activate Backup Camera while driving?

Greets All,

Is there any way to activate the backup camera to while not in reverse? It would be interesting/useful for a better rear view while driving. I'm sure some hacking would be involved. I imagine you just need to trick the camera logic into thinking the car is in reverse.

Anyone done it?

Yeah. I'd like to see it come on once the car is below 5mph. When I park in the garage I always throw it into reverse to see if I'm all the way in. Anything faster while your driving would make you sick with the perspective it has.

The '09 TL has an option in the diagnostic screen to turn the camera on. I saw it...it's actually freaky and disorienting even though we weren't moving fast. I looked for a similar setting in the RDX but there didn't seem to be one...

What I think happens is that

1) switch to reverse
2) trigger relay (12v?)
3) Activate camera

If someone has the service manual, we need to find the relay and tap into it .

**this might be completely wrong.
