2011 RDX First Road Trip

Have had my RDX for about 4 months now and really love it. Took the first long trip to Montreal. Navi worked perfectly. The average mileage for the trip was 24.1/mpg. I was extreemely happy. Ride was nice, yet a bit stiff. For what it's worth this auto operated beyond expectations.

I have new 2011 RDX. I agree that the ride is quite stiff. Any way we can tweak that?

No. It is a feature, not a detriment. Great handling cars have FIRM suspension. You can't have it both cushy and also corner like it is on rails....

Congtrats on the road trip. This will be my 3rd taking it to Cali and it is a wonderful road trip car!

My 2010 RDX rides very smooth compared to my 2004 BMX X3.

But I'm impressed with the 24 mpg.

I like the RDX as a hwy cruiser. Room, power, visibility, storage, comfort, plenty of audio options and decent mpgs if the speed limit is 65 mph or less. It is just a little bit more road noise compared to my TSX (both vehicles have new Conti DWS tires).

It would be nice if we had the option for a cooled glove box or cooled center storage bin under the arm rest for drinks/snacks. It doen't take long for a water bottle to reach +120 degrees in the southwest sun if the car is parked.

I have thought of doing this to the bottom section of my console... It's on my list of "maybe" mods. It wouldn't be too hard, just a little extra insulation and you could easily steal some parts from other 12v travel coolers and be on your way to cool drinks in no time!

Yeah ice packs are ok, 12v would be better though.

Dry and more space with no ice.

I wonder if they get cold enough?

It won't fit in the console.
