I have tried a lot of cigarette lighter chargers for my various appliance. I have tried in both the lighters (on the console and in the arm rest). Most of them do not work. Then I tried a Belkin FM transmitter (charges through cigarette lighter and connects to iPod using Aux) and that worked.

I am not sure why that would work and not any of my other chargers for my phones, ipod etc. Has any one else experienced this issue?

Any help would be appreciated.

2009 RDX. I bought a Griffin PowerDuo and it's working great for my iPod Nano 1G & 3G.

Has anyone else had any problems with these cigaretter lighter USB chargers? Is there a difference between old and new ones or the cheap and branded ones which will make some work and no the others?

I have a short stubby usb charger (these may be the newer ones) and it works to charge up my iPhone on both console and arm rest cigarette lighter areas.
