The backup camera on my wife's 08 tech is horrible and I was wondering if it is possible to hook up an aftermarket backup camera (like a license plate camera) to the existing wiring and it work just like the stock one?

 

You could do one of those rear view mirrors that turns into a backup camera

 

I got one of those for my '08 base, rearview with backup and side views hooked into the turn signals. Hooked up a front view with a switch for nose-in parking too.

I don't see why not.

 

It always sucked the 08 RDX didn't have guide lines for the back-up camera. Being able to upgrade the resolution and adding guide lines would be a huge improvement!

My winter studs are on my stock ILX wheels.

 

The wheels and the camera set up came out great!!

 

I was pleasantly surprised the ILX and RDX wheels are the same size and offset.

 

Yeah, especially because of the weight difference on the vehicles...
