Will 245/50-20 tires rub?

Will 245/50-20 tires rub?
I know that the recommended tire size for 20's is 245/45-20, but I'm wondering if 245/50-20 would fit without rubbing? I want more sidewall and help fill out wheel-well without lowering springs. I know the 20's on Mazda CX-9 and Dodge Nitro are 245/50-20. Thanks for any input you have!
