What Tripp said
Polished Metallic Looks pretty much identical to Anthracite Gray.
Or what we called the UPDATE CARBON GREY PEARL. But there's BARELY any different.
So it's not out of date.
I think they just decided to name it differently

Hey - thanks for asking.

I purchased one because I needed something bigger than my IS - my kids are bigger and I coach baseball too - I need some room.
I wanted something fast, fun to drive, that had great handling and reliability and a second to none sound-system and looked good too. This was the only thing out there.
Lexus did not have anything that crossed over. The RX is a ladies car. The X3 is outdated, over-priced and un-reliable. I will not buy an american car and I wanted something better looking and faster and more prestigious than a mazda...
I had tremendous luck with my first Acura before my first Lexus. A 90 intergra. 1st year of production - Great MPG, some power and looks and amazing reliability... No problems at all in over 12 years (other than battery) - I even had the original front brake pads still...
Have a first year MDX now for over 6 years and it has been great... thinking about a used 2007 now.

Your going from a MDX to RDX? XIS, isn't that a size change decrease?

I am married - have been for 15 years. Please get this straight. There is NO SPECIES ON EARTH that can keep arguing a 100% false argument and keep trying to create THEIR OWN REALITY and pass it off as EVERYONE'S REALITY - other than a woman.
Period. (no pun intended)

Wow....that's a pretty harsh generalization of women, isn't it? Remember, you're dealing with a troll, and trolls go away if they are ignored. You're not dealing with an entire sex.

Back to the topic - I bought my RDX because we have snow for almost half the year. I wanted a 4WD TL, but they don't make them....so I bought an RDX.

Nobody is up tight here. You made a statement with no smileys, no clear indicator that you were joking, and I calmly reminded you to be careful. Since you were kidding, no harm no foul.

As far as being single, not a chance. I've been happily married for many many years, and I must be in a good relationship because I don't feel the need to take jabs at my wife's rationality.

I still havent seen an answer as to why aboveprime frequents this board when he/she doesn't drive this vehicle and has a distaste for it, mostly on looks, but nevertheless a distaste.

If it's among the garbage I just tried to read through, please quote it for me. Thank you.

He/she consistently will say, "Because I can".

Holy thread jacking, I'm sure I can come up with something fresher than "because I can", and the only distaste for the RDX that I have is the styling, and some of the owners.

Oh yes I frequent the board because that's what "Trolls" do, but thanks for feeding me, the troll.

Its such a joke how badly this forum is moderated.

If someone posts an informative link to another website that would benefit the community, its taken down in minutes. But a troll can destroy a potentially interesting thread, and nothing is done.

Please, this board is not all that popping, And don't ask me something like "if its not then why are you here" I'm hardly "destroying the board", and this board is moderated perfectly fine, just because you can't handle what I'm posting (whatever it maybe in your eyes, trolling, stupidity, lies, "bad opinions") Does not mean this board is poorly moderated, because its not.

The reason why you cannot link to that site is because it is not allowed( for various reasons, competition etc..)Whatever it maybe its not allowed, and this forum has the right to block the link, just like on every other forum.

I've tried to get the thread back on track (YES I helped seriously derail this thread) but with posts like yours its not ever going to happen.

Everyone can put him on their "ignore" list and then you don't have to read the crap he throws around.

Hey, did anyone buy the EXTENDED WARRENTY @ the dealership?
(they said its best to buy it when purchasing w/ the car....) instead of separate cause of price differeance.

Thank you, Mr. Prosecutor. I have considered the evidence throughout this thread and find the defendent guilty of disrespectfully hijacking of thread. It has dawned on me that the defendent has these qualities:
  • too much pride. And when pride perks up, respect for others and society in general is absent
  • attacks only in hiding. Can only have the guts to show disrespect behind the computer screen and thus the quote "Because I can"
  • attention seeker. And a seriously depraved one.

So the RDX forum court find the defendent guility as charged... and sentenced to

"Permanently ignored" throughout this forum.

And ladies and gentlemen in the court, please note that people as such as the defendent, who continuously disregard the respect for others, and continuously with intent to inject discontent in the forum, only seeks attention that they never ever will get in their real lives. The attention and the feeling of "power" to be able to spite others, make fun of others, show disrespect for others, make fun of people's intelligence, all behind the safety of the computer screen.
I know it is very tempting to want to respond to such people, but the only thing that happens is the perpetuation of their actions, which fuels their desires to irk other people.

As the sentence has been passed, please cooperate to carry out the sentence and move on with the forum and this thread, without any distortion to the theme.

Well, how much extra does it cost?
I know sometimes dealer tries to add extra stuff, unncessary, but then again, it's like..I don't want to be jipped.
Honda/Acura's reliable, but then again, in my heart, wouldnt one person feel safter in terms of having that extended warrenty?

It looks like the ending is how the identify the deductible, and I don't know at ALL why the price is not bigger for the one without the deductible, but of course the one without the deductible is the one you want, as long as thats the only difference from the one with the 100 dollar deductible.

well quite the thread here....

my reasons in order of importance
1.) I am a paramedic and can't really call out due to weather, so the AWD and VSA was a nice feature to help me get up those snowy roads and inclines on the way to and from work.
2.) Reliability trends of parent company.
3.) C'mon, how cool is this car with all the tech goodies and sound system?!?!?!
4.) Style/Interior
5.) Cheaper than all other cars I considered comparable.

And most of all, AWD improves handling in the dry as well. It is a great way to make a relatively inexpensive platform handle better.
How does AWD improve handling in the dry at all?! AWD doesn't increase the amount of lateral G's your car can pull.

The only time AWD can really affect your handling in the dry is out of a corner, and that is ONLY if your tires would break loose in that situation if the car was FWD/RWD.
