When will the RDX be in Canadian showrooms?

Does anyone know if the RDX is already in showrooms in Canada, and if not yet, when?

One dealer here in Edmonton had one arrive this past Friday- they were cleaning it up and had a spot cleared out for it in the showroom.

I'm based in Calgary, and I had an opportunity to drive one last Thursday . There were people lined up after me waiting to take it for a spin.

I'm surprised you haven't seen one yet. Talk to your dealer.

Thanks for the heads up. I went to the dealership last night to have a look. I really like the styling of both the interior and the exterior. Are the wheels here different than in the US? We seem to have a darker silver colour on the wheels compared with the pictures I've seen of the US RDX's.

Pictures are deceiving, the ones I saw are more grey than silver.

Overall , the test drive was impressive -good acceleration and great handling.

With respect to price , there will be no discounts as most of the ones arriving in 2006 have been pre-sold.

I pick mine up next week.

I was prepared to go along with the US$/Cdn$ disparity - but now I don't even get XM Radio. Don't understand bringing a new vehicle like this to market and not including it. Time to look elsewhere.

If you don't mind saying, Base or Tech? And what was the OTD price after it was all said and done?

No XM? weird.

tech package $45K + $1.5K freight PDI +6% GST

No discounts

Accessories may be delayed until October

I have to check the XM to see if it's included

If you take the U.S. price and multiply it by the exchange rate , the numbers don't add up . In Canada were paying approx . $1.3 X the U.S Price. Not the 1.12. I was expecting

I observed the same across the four RDXs I saw at the dealer. The stock wheels were more gray in real life than the silver appearance in photos.

If you don't mind me asking, which Acura dealership did you visit? I'd like to take a look at the vehicle as well. Thanks!

I went to Downtown Acura. They have the light silver one in the showroom and quite a few in their lot.

Hey guys,

First time posting. Been hitting the RDX forum for a month now. My dad went to the Hamilton dealer and there were at least 7 available on the lot. I'll be checking out the RDX tomorrow at Acura of North Toronto.

My family needs a car and we wanted to buy one before the snow starts hitting...though I'd prefer to wait until next year's revision just so they can fix up a couple of the small/not-so-small complaints. Among the things I'd like to see revised: better gas mileage, less-cluttered nav interface, power passenger seat, auto-dim mirror, nicer rims, and LED taillights.

Still, I'm very stoked I finally get to see this thing in person in a few short hours!

I went to check out the RDX this afternoon at Sherway Acura. Very nice vehicle, indeed. The price is a little too high for my budget, though.

I understand the RDX has more new technologies and advancements over the current MDX (SH-AWD, HID, Turbo 4-cylinder engine so better gas mileage), but with that price I'll probably go with the MDX which is roomier and can seat 7.

Any advice, guys?

When the new MDX gets out this fall, the difference in price will be bigger. Expect the new MDX to increase in price over the current model.

Picked up my Red RDX in Calgary last Saturday

The RDX are in and available in Canada. I have been driving mine for a week. The selection of colours is slim and you will have to pay full retail. No deals on this baby yet.

Dragontea - how was the buying experience in Markham (price paid, friendliness, etc.)? Were there still a good number on the lot or are the RDX's moving fast? PM me if you get the chance. Thanks!
