When do you get yours?

Wow! I'm pretty sure I'm the youngest person and only girl that's interested in this car at this forum. Well, that's actually getting it. The dealer told my father that the car can be delivered as soon as it arrived. I'm getting a non-tech because to me navigation is barely ever used. I'm getting a Carbon Bronze Pearl with black interior if everything goes well. It's expected to arrive somewhere between the 5th and 7th of Aug. I can't wait.

Carbon Bronze, very cool color the way it changes from an Anthracite Grey to a taupe/bronze colour depending on the lighting. Best of all it doesn't show the dirt very much either. Post some pics when you do get them.

you've driven one? the only thing i'm scared about is having the car feel too heavy. This summer i've been driving my mom's porsche cayenne s and it feels lighter than her lexus sc430 she used to have. I was born may 9th. Taureans are the best :-P

hey mr. my parents are nice. they don't have to get me a nice car and appreciate it i know they can just get me a civic or accord like most normal kids, even that's a nice car. i do appreciate them, and i do have a job they havent given me a single penny all summer, ask before you criticize. Generally speaking though, i see your point of view. Everyone that lives in my town has a nice car and they don't appreciate it. My brother's 15 and just told me that his friend is going to get a porsche cayenne s or something else along those lines... my mom has that car... it's the most expensive she's owned... *sigh* yuppies...

I love reading about 20-something year olds (or younger) being financially independent and in the same post talking about how mom and dad are buying them a car. I won't begrudge having generous parents but realize your actual financial situation and don't try to come off as if you're independent. I would like to meet the 20 year old that is paying rent, bills(including insurance!!) and school loans and oh by the way driving a $30K car. About the only job that would allow this is the college drug dealer so unless you're that person....

As a (relatively) spoiled child who's had an EX-V6 Accord Sedan for 3 years, I can confidently say that, if you're dad is more than happy to get you something more upscale, take him up on it. While the 244hp V6 is likely the finest engine in its class, the rest of the car still suffers from being stuck in this price class. My torque converter went at about 25,000 miles, and the whole transmission had to be replaced. As I've now passed 40,000 miles, squeaks and rattles are becoming commonplace. And I won't even touch on the fact that the car just plain doesn't handle. . . at all. Tire squeal doesn't just sometimes happens, it always happens.

So for those of you who think I'm really coming down hard on the Accord, please realize I'm writing this to someone who is really in the market for a 33,000 dollar car, if not more. I'd really suggest driving an Accord. . . then maybe a TL. I think you'll find the TL is far more capable, quiet, and refined. Also, if your dad is buying the car, residual values will be considerably higher on the TL than the Accord a couple years down the line.

well i'm going to get an EX V-6 sedan. My dad WILL buy me a 33,000 dollar car but he would rather buy me a 25,000 dollar car... plus honda's last long. Most of my miles are going to be highway miles anyway I wont be driving much in the town i live in because the radius of the town is all of 5 miles. Can you guess where i'm going to school? haha. My friend has an old accord and it has plenty of miles on it and drives fine. Are you sure you didn't get a lemon? Thanks for the honest advice though. But i'm getting the Accord monday. I'm going to wait to upgrade in a few years.

As for mr. ignorant that posted the criticism. I never said i was an independent. Nor would I ever say that. Isn't it wonderful how people are quick to judge? I am far from spoiled, atleast when you consider the circumstances I grew up in. But, no use defending myself for close-minded people.

Jeez, I remember how much shit I got for getting my TSX when I was 15, but hey, I'm 18 now and I'm at least starting to appreciate how generous of a gift a $30K car is

i would get the tsx instead if it had some more features and was bigger than a corolla...
the accord is acctually more expensive... but i think they'll discount it more as well... and good mileage plus regular gas. i just hope the suspension is good with the shitty roads in lubbock

exactly... i'd rather get an expensive honda... i dont think it's equipped well enough, regardless of sh-awd... everything else that's in it also comes in non-luxury cars...
i never liked lexus's though i think they're overpriced hehe g'luck with it... oh and i think the dealer did what my first one did... he found out what i wanted... said they were getting it... and then said it won't be in till late august so he could order and get the sale... sucks for him because we quickly went to a better more honest dealer... he's a dick anyway :-D enjoy your cars... i think the RDX will be an awesome little car but i think i'll wait for upgrades and corrections etc.

Perfect example of someone who doesn't take car of their car because THEY did not work to pay for it. I hope daddy leaves you a lot of money when he dies because chances are you won't be making they same kind of menoey he made. Read the paper and you see pay for grads is lower than ever

It's not worth being rational with you, is it. I explained that I was not looking at an Accord from the perspective of a $25,000 car buyer, but rather a $35,000 car buyer. Few but the most price conscious consumers would select an Accord over any number of better (albeit more expensive) options in their price range, a full $10,000 higher. My point was that an Accord is an excellent $25,000 car and nothing more.

i think it's too small first of all but that isn't part of the features list. And, everything that comes with it also comes with an accord more or less. I guess the main reason is... i want a bigger car. made up my mind, going to the honda dealership right now... :-D

The ignorance is strong in this thread. And this thread has gone far enough off topic.
