What is P/N 08712-0008 (bumper applique install gone bad)
Okay, so we had a failure in the installation process. Mostly because the applique we tried to install shipped with a couple of "humps" in on one side... not real folds but just bends. Couldn't get them to come out and just started getting frustrated, so the applique was pulled off and destroyed in a fit of aggravation.
Question: what is the applique solution? Is it nothing more than soap&water mix like I would use for window tint application?
Thanks.. time to order ANOTHER applique.

I had it installed at the dealership. The first one had so many air bubbles I had to take it back. The second was much better. Do not think it is worth the money. I paid $120 plus tax.

Thanks.. I think I figured it out. We should have used an alcohol solution in addition to the soap solution.
Yea, BF was laughing.. we could have had it installed at the dealership by the time we finish ordering the 2nd one.. Ooops.. oh well.
Body side mouldings went on perfectly though. The only down side is I can't drive it until they cure a bit.
