VIN vs. Manufacture Date - Canada

Could someone in Canada please post or PM me the last 5 digits of their VIN and their manufacture date (preferable VIN's higher than 02500). Much appreciated. Thanks.

I think people are not sure what you are asking for.

You have to go to the driver's side door frame labels to see the acutal manufacture date. This is different than the date that you purchased your car. So post your last five VIN numbers and then the manufacture date from the label on the drivers door frame. I would do it, but I don't live in Canada...

thanks but is this your purchase date or manufacture date? manufacture date can be found on the label inside your driver side door (just as the post above states). thanks.

i'm asking for the VIN's vs. Manufacture date to make sure my dealer isn't screwing around with me when he says he's bringing in a brand new car from me and not one that's been sitting on the lot.

ummm... why would your dealer do that?

If the dealer said he was going to bring in a new vehicle for you and it is going to take say, 3-4 weeks... why would he take one from the lot and give that to you after 1 month? He is going to order one in anyway.

If you are not sure about this, just get the dealer to show you the documentation which indicate one ordered in for you, colour and packages should be on the form.

I would say, relax and not get so paranoid...

not paranoid (well, maybe a little)...

but just thought it was odd since i have the dealers stock number and checked the VIN against other stock numbers and this VIN was quite a bit lower than others listed (by almost 1000 vehicles).

for sure i will check the manufacture date before i take delivery, but didn't think it would hurt to ask here. but seems people are quite reluctant to give out this info...i don't even need the exact VIN (if that's why people are reluctant), just the approximate number...like 025xx)....oh well....thanks anyways.

I don't think it is that people are reluctant to give out this info, it's just not the kind of info most people have when they are sitting in front of their computer.
