vehicle buyback program

Anyone get a vehicle buyback letter from Acura? It was sent first class mail and says that Acura needs to acquire used RDXs to meet increased pre-owned sales demands. I have until April 15 to make an appointment and sell them my car for cash or towards another car.

Just wondering if the motivation is truthful. Do they really need my car to meet demand or is this just a ploy to get me in to sell me another car?

there is no way they can force you to sell your car. sounds like they just want to get you into another car, want your money and then they would have more used RDXs to sell so they can make more money.
but when in doubt, just call ACS

I got one from my dealer a couple years ago, too. It's just a ploy to get you back to the dealership.

Nothing but a ploy. Not a bad idea if you're looking for a new car anyway, but otherwise, not worth the time.

dealer will make more money from you by buying your used car which definitely lesser value than Private Party, then by sellin you another car. If you havent pay off your first car loan it will be added up to your new car loan..

Dealers always do this so they can upsell you on a new ride and screw you on your trade-in. Happens all the time among all brands.

Its normally from the dealer not from Acura if you know what I mean. I've gotten that letter before. Dealers love that because they get you coming and they get you going.

It came from the dealer. I have a 2007 RDX. BTW: I never said that they were forcing me to to anything. As I suspected, it sounds like this is just a ploy to get me back. I'm leasing anyway, so thought it strange that they would send me this offer at all. But it was personalized to me, so they must know who they are sending it to. Oh well, not worth it and there isn't even another Acura I'd want right now. The new TSX won't be interesting until they release a Type-S or something with SH-AWD.

LOL, you walk into ANY dealership at ANY time, and there is always some kind of *special* deal or promotion. Its all BS. Any day is a good day to buy.
