Local person is selling a 2008 with Technology. 115K miles. They are asking 12K. Just wanted expert opinions on the asking price. Or, at what price would you consider this an excellent deal at? ie, if I got this for 10K, is that a super deal, etc.

Secondly, as for vehicle history, all I know is that its a clean title, 2 owners, and AC was fixed this year. What issues could I expect in the next few year or two with this vehicle/mileage?

Many things affect the value, so it's hard to say. Don't focus on KBB, Edmunds, etc...they are a good start, but also look at what a similar RDX is selling for, preferably close to you. In my opinion, if the car is in good shape (get an independent inspection!) and has full maintenance records, 12k seems ok. If it needs some catch-up work, or tires are bald, brakes worn, etc...factor that in and offer less. As long as the car was well taken care of, even at that mileage your maintenance costs should be low.

 

ive upgraded a lot of things and have driven mine in anger. it still living. but im over kill on the maintenance. i use amsoil fluids and hastings(sp?) filters 0 issues with reliability.

 

^^Which Amsoil btw? They have a bunch of different grades.
