unable to edit posts or send PMs

I am logged in but have just a few posts. Do the above privileges require a certain activity level? thanks.

i you need 50 posts to do so.

You can only edit posts with 10 minutes of submitting a post, and I believe you need to post 30 times before you can PM.

This stuff can change on the fly, but I just checked with astroboy and he said it is now 5 mins to edit and 5 posts to PM.
