Turbo leak or ?
Hi All,
Guys, I need help to identify a possible problem.
I have 2008 RDX Tech. with 91K miles.
Recently, I notice a strange sound AFTER i release gas pedal.
The sound like whoosh sucking sound or vacuum leak sound for about half a second right after i release acceleration pedal.
It is similar sound to those cars with aftermarket turbos when they change gears if you know what I mean.
The MPG is still the same as before.
I looked for hoses and leaks but cant find anything, because its not happening when idle, only when turbo engaged.
Do I have to look for some particular air leaks or special places?
Any ideas and/or advise?

Seems like what you are hearing is the bypass valve which is located at the front upper section of the engine bay, connected to intercooler.
It has 4 or so vacuum lines which you should check. Also check all your intake clamps and piping for air leaks. The bypass valve dumps excess boost back into this whole intake setup.
Also note that this sound you are hearing is very audible with an aftermarket intake on the RDX.
