Three Year Anniversary!
Three Year Anniversary!
Hard to believe but it's already three years since I drove off the dealer lot with my brand new 2008 RDX, June 24, 2008. Seems like yesterday. The RDX has met and exceeded my expectations both performance and reliability. First and foremost the reason I have been driving Acuras since 1993 is reliability. The RDX has proven extremely reliable. I had my concerns being a turbo as I never owned a turbo vehicle before. A good friend of mine has worked for Acura virtually since their inception and he said the Turbo RDX motor is one of the most reliable engines Acura (aka Honda) has ever built. Good to know!
Great car (CUV). Fun as heck! Fast! SH-AWD is just, well, awesome.
Is it perfect? No. No car is IMO. But, damn close. Bang for the buck there is nothing better IMO. I'll probably keep it for two more years and hope a completely new iteration of the RDX is out by then! I will look forward to checking it out and continue my legacy as an Acura owner/driver.

i think the rdx is an excellent CUV, specially for the younger age group and those who want an engaging driving experience. i agree that compared to the competition (X3, Q5, RX), the RDX is indeed the best bang for your hard earned dollars. naturally the car is not without faults, being the first generation of its model. Next generation will probably be more refined.
