Is there an ECU update for Bluetooth?

I'm wondering if anyone knows if an ECU update for Bluetooth fixes the spotty connection issues, or just improves the BT in general? I guess I should be thankful I haven't had any of the more serious BT issues that I've read about in this forum.

Check out the owners manual, the long ass one it has a ton of information that can help you. The Acura owners website also has old ass videos on how to operate our generation system. There is even a website for it too.

The ECU doesn't control Bluetooth, the HandsfreeLink module does.

Then...is there a way to update the HandsFree Module?

Thanks thoiboi - then I'll ask the obvious, can code be updated or is there an updated replacement module?

You could always get a new HFL altogether but it's doubtful that they changed anything and it may just be a stopgap replacement. I'd personally recommend installing a bluetooth Aux adapter so that you can stream music as well (Does the RDX have an Aux port?)

Amazon has a plethora of choices for ~$30 to $50

It will be the same unit, they wouldn’t update it. They have been known to die or not work well after a while on a few vehicles on here. I think you might be able to find a thread on it. Up to you if it’s worth it to get a new one or a aux cord portable one.

Smile It was my phone...

Turns out it was my previous htc One M8 that couldn't connect reliably, although I didn't have a problem with other BT devices. I bought a Google Pixel 2 XL this year and it connects immediately and reliably. - go figure!
