I think the best thing you can do is visit all the dealers in your area, close to the end of the month, when they're trying to make their quotas.

I would be suprised if you can't do significantly better than $500 off at this point.

 

Here from Toronto... signed the lease agreement on Saturday for a white / blk Tech package.

Dealer came down from MSRP by ~$2000, but I didn't get any extra accessories that some seem to have negotiated in. Not sure how different it would have been if I'd purchased instead... ???

 

I am from Vancouver as well. Just picked up my RDX last week.

As for Dealer pricing, no dealer will give discounts, however, you should be able to get a few options for free, up to about 1K worth of options. That is what I did, so instead of getting a discount, I got the Acura trailer hitch and all weather mats for free.

In regard to RDX's in the lots, I went to 3 dealers and the lots were pretty empty of RDX's. They had a 1-2 demos, and 1-2 brand new RDX's, but not the colour I wanted. I waited about 1 month to get my RDX in.

IMHO, you should go to all dealers you can get to and talk to them. I had to go out to Acura of Langley to get the best deal, Burrard Acura had the worst deal of all 3 dealers as they wanted to take my trade-in right there and then and still wanted me to wait a month for my new RDX - and with no discount or any free options. I mean what kind of a deal is that ???

Yes, like I said before the availability in Canada nothing compares to US. So, it is all about supply and demand. If supply is low here, not much discount we can get.

 

weird how Canadian dealers seem to be stocking only 4-5 cars while some American ones apparently have 40-50

 

Yes, in general, canadian dealser only carries at most 10 at the dealership (usually around 7), several of them might be already sold already, waiting for pickup. That's why one Canadian member here has to wait til Feb07 for his RDX arrival.

I guess it makes sense for US to carry more as they have 8+ times of our population.

 

In the mean time dealers have the big end of the stick here so that's why I'm waiting. No way I'm paying MSRP or near it with a ridiculous lease rate. That may also explain why I only saw one RDX on the road in Montreal.
