Recently picked up a 2011 RDX SH-AWD I knew coming into it the mpg was not going to be good but ive been averaging 15 with a mix of city and highway driving. Even with being extremely light on the pedal the best ive been able to see is 16. Im running it with 93 and the car only has 82k on it im not completely sure whats causing it, if its something mechanical or if my driving style is really that aggressive.

Sounds about normal when I had my stock 08 RDX with a mix of 70% city - 30% hwy getting about +/- 16.5 mpg. It was what I expected driving a +2 ton 2.3L turbo CUV with a full time tq vectoring awd system and living at +5000 feet. I added Hondata reflash and ETS intercooler and got a bump of +30 hp/tq with a side effect of improved mpgs. My mpg average went from the 16.5-17.5 mpg range to 19.5-20.5 mpg combined range with exact same routes and driving style. Hondata lowered the turbo spool rpms and it made the RDX easier to drive with more hp/tq across the power band. I never ever seen above 22 mpg on the hwy; but, posted hwy speeds out west are 75-80 mph (usually 5-8 mph above that).

Ended up handing down my RDX to my daughter and purchased a 321hp 19 MDX Adv Sport Hybrid. Getting 24-27 mpgs range and 425-450 miles per tank is my norm with improved performance and handling over my RDX.

Thankyou for the reply I plan on getting the hondata but the price is whats getting me lol, but ill see if I could still find an ets intercooler around to snag aswell

Keep an eye out on the Marketplace. I picked up my ETS intercooler there from someone that was selling their RDX and parting out their upgrades.
