Try this first: roll the window all the way down and keep holding the switch for 5 seconds. Then roll it all the way up and hold the switch for 5 seconds. Then try the auto feature.

Until you know the problem, it's hard to say it's defective

Well, it was worth a shot. This is the most common cause of an auto window manfunction.

I don't know about you, but to me for a new car I shouldn't have to fix anything on the car if it's not working the way it was ment to work from the factory. I though Acura was Honda's high end brand which include better quality and service. I'm new to Acura but is it wrong to expect better? Even for a new model.

no it is right to expect better... i expected better... especially with the windows... but keep in mind that this is the first generation rdx and we are one of the earliest owneds of this vehicle... so theres bound to be some minor malfunctions ... i was just a little pissed that it happened to me... but the dealer said theyw ould take care of it no problem, didnt give me a hard time... but still that time and gas i gotta throw out...

also, when they installed my sold moldings... there was a lil nick on one side and on another side, it was peeling off already.... was REALLY pissed about that, only reason i had them do it was so they "pro" and they would make it flush on one shot...

and another thing was... the auto dimming mirror was FRIGGINNNNNNNN loose .... that can be easily tightened, but i mean cmon.... as soon as i get in the car, adjust it, its feels like its gunna fall on me... dont these retarded dealers have the decency to double check their fukin work? we're paying more then wat the part costs for the damn installation...

FYI, this was valley stream of acura in long island... overall a decent dealer, sales, all the department managers were nice, just the mechanics and stuff... can use more discipline

Here in CT the service is good but the sales guys are confused. They think XM is free forever and turbos aren't covered by warranties regardless of what the manual says.

Probably just a bad relay. All of the window switches, relays and factory alarms for most acuras are in the drivers side door. The relay could be bad.

You beat me to it.....It's made in Ohio. I switched to Acura back in the late 80's from Honda when I heard they would start putting them together in the USA.

Lucky for me they still made all my RSXs in Japan, and my new RL was also built in Japan.

After going through the tranny debaucle with my 02 TL Type-S, I have come to appreciate that a malfunctioning window and loose mirror are a piece of cake!

chyllintsx, maybe you just got all you problems at once, and you'll never have another!

Did you get the backup sensors?

Yes and the ultimate irony is that the only part of the TL that is made in Japan is the tranny!

Frankly, all cars will sometimes have problems. It's how they're handled and how much you love the car that determines whether you like or dislike your ownership esperience.

I recall a few of the problems with the '04 TSX AT transmission case, the radio failing and taking out the instrament panel lights, the rattles in the door panel, the rattles on the rear deck, the rattles on the front tweeter grills, the rattles in the moonroof shade, the window rubber wiper scratching aftermarket tint.... I could go on.

^^ Good luck with your car!!

Being first in line can get you in trouble sometimes. I know because I had a first year TSX. It's all working great now.
