Snowing in Mass today... will soon

be able to test out the RDX AWD and the new Yokohama Avid V4S all seasons in the snow here in Boston...

My RDX has only tested the snow in Vancouver, BC Canada, but my current home in Vancouver is located on a mountain community, so it really challenged the AWD and michelins last year...

Given the relative flat terrain of Mass., I wonder if the driving here will be more challenging than in Vancouver, which tends to be more hilly and mountainous... the other thing is, in Vancouver, we do not get as cold as out here in Mass. So ice is the other issue here in Boston...

Half the fun of having an SH-AWD RDX is driving it in snow! I'm in CT and it didn't quite get cold enough where I am (only 38 degrees) but I'm sure the snow is on it's way. Can't wait for that first snowfall. I had a blast driving in the white stuff last winter.

ummm... maybe... but to each his own I guess. I know the SH-AWD will probably do well in the snow...but I really am not looking forward to the snow in Mass.

That's funny... a breeze... I think more of a blizzard... We get may be 10 days of real snow in Vancouver the whole winter through, and the rest of the time, temperature hover around 30-40F between Dec to March. When it is snowing, it may dip to 25F, but that is about it.

Here in Mass., especially out west where I live, I heard it gets as low as 0F, and it stays like that for 2 months! Yuck...

Really not looking forward to winter in north east.

It doesn't get to 0F and stay there for 2 months. Somebody's pulling your leg! It'll fluctuate and wind chills are unpredictable. The worst part in New England is when it snows, traffic is hell. Or when it snows, rain, turns to ice, and snow some more, that's bad

My RDX didn't impress me last year under snow/ice conditions. I was slipping and sliding if I wasn't going in a straight line. My old Mazda Tribute did better. This year, I'm armed with new Bridgestone Dueler Alenza tires and better brakes.
