snowing heavily in Mass. this morning...

my house has a upward sloping driveway, and the RDX with the new Yokohama Avid V4S tires did quite well in the snow today. At one point, I was making a left turn on a T-junction, and the car slipped a little, but lifting my foot off the gas, allowed the SH-AWD system to get back its grip quickly.

When you're not on the gas, the SH-AWD system isn't working. In your case the VSA probably individually activated the brakes on one or more wheels and that's how you got back on track.

I'm currently in Acton, and it was pretty heavy for my liking. Vancouver actually gets much less snow than one would be inclined to think.

Yesterday's snow was nothing. Shoveling it, on the other hand, was a b*tch. I probably could have gotten away not having too as most of it is now melted. Last year we were getting 20+ inches overnight.

Heck, we got 1" of snow on Monday morning and the commute around Indianapolis, IN was about 3-4x what I normally see. Having lived in Chicago and D.C. prior to coming to Indiana, people just don't know how to drive in the white stuff around here. 1" of snow wouldn't even make Chicago natives blink an eye, but 1" here causes people sliding into ditches and blocking intersections.
