Rear bumper conversion 07 to 13. Possible?

Has anyone ever done a conversion and is it possible? Someone recently rear ended my Rdx and there is cosmetic damage- I will be getting a new bumper but I was curious to know if it possible to upgrade to a newer version. Thanks and pics of course welcome!

anything is possible.. but its not that simple the 2010-12 models are more likely to match up more then a second gen rdx.. the lines on the second gen are way different and would need lots of cutting, molding, and possibly welding to make it look right..

The 07-09 RDX was the last of the painted bumpers for Acura SUVs. I want to keep that look as long as possible. I think it might cost you more to convert than replace because it looks like the rear L/R side panels are shaped differently for the +10 unpainted plastic bumper. Not even sure how the round exhaust tips would fit or look with the +10 bumper.

OT but I saw a preface-lift model with a face-lifted front end and it looked pretty good. The person retained the pre-rear with a diffuser.

You're right that I meant 2007 to 2012 not 2013. Anyway, so would anyone know for certain if that the body is the same, because it does look like the rear bumper and diffuser would fit on an '07 in these photos.

im confused.. are you talking about the rear diffuser or the whole bumper?

if its a bumper.. figure this.. you will need the rear panels and bumper to even come close to making it work

im all for making it look diff but its alot of headache..

look at acurapartswarehouse.com bumper and side panels are all one piece on 07 and are three seperate pieces on a 12. You should be able to swap it right out. The three separate pieces are more expensive than the one piece. I thought about doing the swap. I bought an 08 cuz I think the face lift looks ridiculous but love the back end
