RE: cleaning the rust and grit from the chrome tips

Went to get some Mothers Chrome polish, to rub off the grit and rust from the exhaust tips. Not the best, but it worked well enough to clean up some of the grit.

Is there something better out there that can get the chrome tips really shiny?

I don't know about shinny, but WD 40 removes a lot of the soot inside the tip for me.

For me, the blue paste cleaner (I forget the name; it's a blue paste, in a blue plastic can). Works great for the exhaust pipes.

Use this with 000 grade steel wool. Works like a charm!
