RDX sales

"Meanwhile, 1,361 RDX's were purchased in its first month of sales (the vehicle went on sale August 10). " Acoording to HondaNews.

Is this number pretty disappointing? I think so.

Well considering it went on sale on the 10th, it only had 2/3rds of the month to sell and I don't know about you but I had my deposit down in July and didn't get mine until Aug 25th. I think I was the 2nd person with a deposit. So I wonder how many of the RDX's that were delivered were sold? I'm betting the percentage is up there around 80% or so.

Like Arthur said, you need to know how many were delivered to dealers so you can figure out what the supply was. I know some were only delivered as demos so those shouldn't factor into the numbers.

You don't know how many RDXs were released to dealers, how many were sold, etc. We only sold a few because we didn't have any. There are people on waiting lists for what they want. And the car didn't even come out until the 10th. You may want to jump on the naysayers bandwagon but it's too early to tell. From what I know looks like most dealers sold almost all of the ones they had, which were probably 3 or 4.

I think those figures are pretty decent for 20 days of business.

People are on waiting lists, mostly because they don't want to buy the first 3 or 4 that were delivered to dealers that people have been driving, beating the crap out of them, kids climbing in and out of in the showroom, etc.

Then there are those that are waiting to see if they can strike a deal in 6-12 months.

I'm kind of glad I don't see a bunch of them on the road yet. It will be more of an eye catcher when I get mine

I had the first one from Connoly acura in MA, and they told me early one that they ahd 15 deposits and you'll be lucky to get one blah, blah, blah...meanwhile last i checked with salesman, i'm still the only one driving one. I havent seen any others in Boston or metrowest...I love it, but if i didnt get the very high trade in for my TL ($26500 on $22000 owed) I wouldnt have done it...its just a bunch of dealer created hype
