I'm from NJ. An SUV isn't an SUV without the Roof Rack. It's like an SUV in the Northeast without All Wheel Drive. A roof rack is one of the things that separates an SUV from a car. If you don't like to look of your SUV with a Roof Rack you're not driving the right truck.

 

I know the rack vs. no rack discussion is personal preference but mine is for the rack. Not only do I use it with my Thule box in the winter (carries skis, helmets, etc.) but I strongly feel the RDX looks sportier with the rack. I have had zero issues with wind noise and I don't think the MPG loss is that substantial. JMHO!

 

Which Thule box do you have? does it fit snowboard and luggage?
I am thinking about getting the Thule base rack. (Debating on the Box or just the snowboard attachment.

I am have a 90lbs dog that goes in the trunk of my RDX.
