Other than the somewhat mediocre fuel efficiency (I average about 18-19 mpg), and requiring full synthetic motor oil... I absolutely love mine.

Fuel efficiency (people will say this over and over again), the car is not smooth at all (engine or ride), but performs great...
Maintenance is pricey, synt oil, plus the differential oil seems to last about 12K miles between changes....
My wife does most of the driving, and she loves the car....I like to drive it when I get the chance....
Ipod interface sucks, there is no reason why there is no identification of radio station and songs (I forget what that's called)....
Seat heater for passenger's back, electronic seat for passenger, rear passengers' A/C vents (lack thereof)
I guess that this is more of a bitching list than anything else...
In sum, there are a lot of things that you would expect will be there that are not.....otherwise, the car works great.....

well fuel economy im not worried about because i will be driving it on the weekends...and coming from my TL thats Lowered and Tein basic and supercharged....the RDX drove 100 time smoother than that lol. how is the POWER mid range and on the high way for passing?

i drove the EX35 and the G37.....the RDX is smooth as glass compared to those...the EX is a waste...dont even bother with that...the G37 is nice...but the wife wants a suv..

Well, I guess that you will be telling be before I tell you, my baby is due in October...

There were two reasons we got this car, one was "the baby" and the second was to have an AWD car that would get my wife places in the snow (she is an E-MED doctor).

We only drove the one we got once, in part because we had liked the RDX so much the first time, we didn't think it was necessary...Well, I can tell you that the 19" premium wheels make a huge difference in ride quality (my car was pre-owned). I have an extra set of 18"s with all season tires that I fit in during the winter, and the ride is waaaay smoother.

The first time we drove the RDX we liked it a lot, we like the "stiff(er)" ride and better connection to the road than the Lexus RX, we liked the seat waaay better too. After a year of ownership there were a lot of things that we didn't cared for or paid attention to that we miss, i.e. electric passenger's seat or memory for driver's seat, engine noise wasn't an issue, I guess that it isn't, but sometimes you would like it to be smoother.......electric tailgate and hood with struts.....I guess that what we miss are those things that tell us that the car is the "premium" vehicle you are paying for, you know?.....

Anyways, sorry for the rant....I have had baby seats in the back twice and there seems to be adequate room for passengers, the trunk holds a stroller just fine, access to the back seat is also adequate.

I don't know how you $$ is, but there are two other vehicles to consider, Audi Q5 and Benz GLK....Hell, you didn't mentioned the Lexus, that has to be a good "mommy" car.

well it looks like we are both in the same boat lol, thats cool and congrats. well i never had an SUV and never liked it...but driving the RDX made it feel cool and it will be a lease...so in three years i will return in. i came from the world of boost and power....and its addictive

my TL use to drive smooth as glass before i did all the work on it

i am glad to hear there is a lot of room in the back for baby stuff.

how is the mid rang and pick up power on the RDX compared to a v6...i know this and the EX has the same power...this car actually feels faster than the EX35. is the ride quality smooth enough to know your not doing 80mph? or do you feel the road? when i drove it i liked how it drove on smooth roads.

does it feel like a boat? and how is the power when merging onto the highway and passing people?

we will mostly go on highway drives with this and back and forth to to grandma's house.

beleive me i did a lotttttt of street racing and got into trouble but everything is changed now lol

tanx for all the info..i got a lot of questions lol

Well, I don't mind answering them from my POV. I am actually surprised that the other people here have not come to disagree/agree with me....anyways, one by one...

Trunk room seems fine...the only time that we have "loaded" this car was during Christmas. From time to time we put our dog and the crate in the back with the seats folded, the crate is large and our dog is 65lb

The EX came out right about the time that I was ready to buy. I did not even looked at it because of money (I mentioned my RDX was used). When I finally got a chance to see the EX at the mall I was glad I didn't even considered it, it looks like an ugly SW...for the record, I don't have anything against those...In terms of power, if you are correct, and the RDX is peppier I would be surprised, that V6 is one of the "best engines ever made" according to the magazines...Although, it doesn't matter what they say if you don't like it/agree with it....

You definitely DON'T feel 80, that comes pretty quick too...well, 60 comes quick, after that the car is a "heavy" SUV, so is nothing like what you are used to.

I also mentioned having the 19" premium wheels....you definitely feel the road with those...I was "suffering" during our first road trip after 4 hours of driving. The 18"s improved the ride a lot....We just switched back to the 19s and you can absolutely tell the difference.

I have always had 4cyl turbos (Saab), so I don't have long term experience with V6 engines. I know that I wish that the RDX was smoother, specially at low speeds...the engine seems to be full power or off, there is no in between (this will get people to start writing)

Sorry for all the sht, but I am unemployed and have lots of time in my hands

I have an 05 maxima and even though some magazine tests put them close in terms of numbers, the Maxima is far peppier than the RDX. I would imagine the EX would be the same (it tends to run a good bit higher trap speed).

greatttt well since i use to the boost kicking in this car is good...after 80 i know that the honda dies..unless you change some stuff like headers and intake then your good to go.

as of now above 80 is ok....as long as its smooth im good.....engine not being smooth is fine with me...

the car looks nice...handles good and has good pick up power....so i guess i should be good,

plus im keeping the TL.

my main concern was comfort...handeling, pickup power and saftey

thanks for alllll the info

and yeah the v6 nissan motors is one of the badest V6 out there...but the EX is slower than the RDX and doesnt have good pick up power...but mid range is gooood

The EX is faster than the RDX in pretty much every mag test. 0-60's are almost the same, the 1/4 miles favor the EX.

might be faster in the long run but the 0-60 are close to same...when you go into the EX it feels like your in a shoe box.

infiniti to me is a higher quality then acura....but for comfort i would stick with acura....

The RDX is my choice...i had been debating this for one month. so me and my wife finally made a choice.
